Requirements
Knowledge of Basic Banking Operations
Documentary Credits are a method of assurance to direct parties (buyer and seller) in a commercial transaction of a certain good and are
mostly used in international transactions. Aside from buyer and seller, the use of documentary credits usually implies the intervention of two
bank entities: the bank that is issuing the credit, and acts in name of the buyer, and a bank representing the issuing bank (usually designated
notifying bank) next to the seller, given that buyer and seller may be from different countries.
